Under the provisional title El tiempo es un hábil tramposo (Time is a skilled cheater), is a mixture of "fevered fiction and real facts", said the author in a recently published interview in the Juventud Rebelde newspaper.
Arenal studied and work as a journalist in New York, where he worked in the Vision magazine and at the Diario de Nueva York newspaper. I returned to Cuba due to the triumph of the revolution the 1st of January 1959 and I will be here until the end of my life, he emphasized.
He is the author of ¿Quién mató a Iván Ivánovich? (Who killed Ivan Ivanovich?) and Allegro de habanera (Allegro of Habanera) and indicated that he is working in another novel of 320 pages about his ancestors on his father side. He ended his first collection of poems and novel Occitania.
I would love to direct some of my own theatre plays, he added.
