The Best Music at the International Book Fair of Cuba
The presentations will be at the San Francisco de Asis Square, Patio de Los Jagueyes, Amadeo Roldán Theatre, Pabellón Cuba, La Pérgola of the Ministry of Culture, El Jardín de la Música, National Library, Mella Theatre, El Castillito, Círculo José A. Echeverría, Balneario Universitario and Sauto Theatre in Matanzas.

The opening ceremony, on February 13th, will be made by the Galician singer Mercedes Peon and her group together with the Cuban group Vocal Leo. As it is known the Fair is dedicated to the Spanish province of Galicia.

On Thursday the 14th, San Valentine Day, Amaury Perez will offer a concert of ballads. On that same day will be opened the International Jazz Plaza Festival in Havana.

Mercedes León and her group will perform again on Friday the 15th, this time with the Cuban group Warapo, while on Saturday the 16th will come on stage Gerardo Alfonso and his group.

On Sunday is programmed to perform Sacha na Horta y DKTC, a music that has create great expectations in this International Book Fair. The concerts will be at 6: pm and 7:45 pm.

Music is one of the main dishes of the Fair, especially for the young public who every year goes to the book party. Other artists expected in the Fair in the next few days are: Heidi Igualada, Marta Campos, Silvio Alejandro, Vicente Feliú, Pepe Ordás, Raly Barrio Nuevo and his Argentinean group, Teresita Fernández, Dúo Karma, Samuel Águila, Ángel Quintero, the Royal Galician Philharmonic, Remberto Duarte, Síntesis, Coro Folklórico, Los Kent, Gitano's, Charly Salgado, Leyanis López, Leo Montesino, Marfil de Ecuador (jazz group) and the Flute Orchestra of José Luis Cortés with the vocal quartet of NG La Banda. There is music for every taste in the Fair.
