The Cuban Old Music Group Ars Longa Conquered Ovations in France
Under the direction of the also singer Teresa Paz and the advising of the musicologist Miriam Escudero (organ) the group, sponsored by the Office of the Historian of the City proved the truth in their own name "art is long, life is short".

A cared collection of old musical instruments, played with notable professionalism by, mostly, very young musicians and opera voices, delighted a very demanding public that ended the concert saying Bravo!

With an intense travel of 10 years, 8 CDs, generous critic and applauses, Ars Longa devolved Europe a pleasant and mixed tour of the autochthonous baroque, from a musical trip through the Great Cathedrals of the Americas.

A distant but memorable past of Guatemala, Spain, Mexico, Bolivia, Peru, Portugal and off course Cuba with Esteban Salas, until an end with "Tambalagumbá" to incite the public to demand a certainly pleased encore.

A coincidence for a middle age imaginary and baroque symbiosis, the concert was held at the Boffrand Hall of the presidency of French Senate, one of the favorite spaces of María de Médicis when she lived at the Luxembourg Palace in XVII century.

Salomon Brosse, a famous French architect, lover of baroque style, had the honor of lifting, between 1615 and 1620, the monumental installation, surrounded by beautiful gardens. A few meters from there, there was the Cluny Hotel that later on became the Middle Age Museum.

Called by the president of the Senate, Christian Poncelet and with the boost given by the Cuban Ambassador in France Rogelio Sanchez Levis, the successful concert was the first of three, Ars Longa will offer in Paris.

The leader of the communist group at the senate, Nicole Bovvo, the president of the France - Cuba Friendly Association at the National Assembly and the ambassadors of Bolivia, Luzmila Carpio and Venezuela Jesús Arnaldo Pérez among many other personalities attended the premiere.
