The Casa de las Américas, through its Centre of Caribbean Studies, is inviting at a International Colloquium.
In its second edition, the event will discuss about varied number of topics through conferences and debates in which prestigious invited specialists will speak about the Caribbean cultural diversity in its different islands and continental coastal regions.

Among the topics to be discussed are: identity and cultural space, popular arts and craftwork, literary and linguistic challenges, visibility of the native roots, public spaces and Caribbean environment in front of the transforming challenges of the new millennium.

The colloquium will have a simultaneous translation service (Spanish, English and French). Interested people must confirm their assistance before the 5th of May 2008. The admission fees are CUC50.00 and should be pay personally in cash at the seat of Casa de las Américas.
