This year's event will be dedicated to Cuban writers Graziella Pogolotti and Antón Arrufat both awarded with Cubas Literature Prize in 2005 and 2000, respectively while the Autonomous Community of Galicia will be the guest of honor.

Several other activities have been scheduled for the book festivity such as conversations about the relationship between literature and the new technologies, presentation of awards as well as music and dance performances.

Forty Cuban municipalities will serve as principal venues for the fair whereas mountainous regions will celebrate the event in April.

Sancti Spiritus will host the new book exhibition from February 25th to March 2nd.
