Several Hundred of New Titles in the 2008 International Havana Book Fair.
The largest cultural event held every year in Cuba is about to begin. The fair will be devoted to Spanish region of Galicia, and tributes will be paid to writers Graziella Pogolotti and Antón Arrufat, the 2005 and 2007 National Literature Award winners, as the book fair kicks off on February 13 in Havana.

The imposing Morro-Cabaña colonial fortress complex will be the main venue of this event in Havana. Later , the fair will move across the rest of the country to another 42 venues to finally reach Santiago de Cuba on March 9. In this new book fair, 350 new titles will be available, which translate into eight millions of books.

Those going to this feast of the letters will find a host of titles, including testimonies, arts, novels, poetry, science and technology, biographies and childrens books, among others.

Many of these books will be in the 44 bookstores in Havana. They will arrive on February 11 to the bookstores at the Pabellon Cuba and Boyeros Agricultural and Industrial Fair. All these bookstores will also offer titles from previous years, which guarantee an offer of more than a thousand titles each.
