Victor Manuel Barbosa, Minister of the Republic of Cape Verde, has Thanked Cuba.
Cubas cooperation in the areas of technology, education and health made it possible for this African state to not be one of the most backward countries in the world, the official emphasized, affirming that this victory was also a challenge for the future.

Before being received by Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Pérez Roque at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Barbosa paid tribute to Cuban national hero José Martí at the monument dedicated to him in this capital.

For his part, the Cuban foreign minister described the relations between their countries as excellent. Talks between the two will focus on important issues like cooperation for strengthening bilateral ties.

Pérez Roque noted that almost 900 young people from Cape Verde have graduated from school in Cuba with degrees in different specialties.

The Cape Verdean minister is leading a delegation from his country to the 15th session of the Bilateral Intergovernmental Commission, which is to take place in Havana.

The visitor and his delegation will also hold meetings with other ministers and other leaders of government and the Communist Party of Cuba, and will tour places of historic, social and scientific interest.
