The famous photographer Ernesto Fernández is exhibiting at the Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País in Malaga, Spain about 70 Cuban photographs from 1957 until 25 years after the revolution.

The exhibition with the title La fotografía y la memoria (Photography and Memory) will be open until next 10 of January and includes unpublished works, printed in gelatine silver with images of the first days after the triumph of the revolution, the arrival of Fidel to Havana, the creation of the militia battalions and the foundation of the ballet of Havana.

The main media of the region has covered the exhibition. The exhibition with great quality of the works shows chapters of the modern Cuban history and includes 11 pictures of the war in Angola, in which Cuba took part in defesne of the independence of that nation and in the fight against apartheid.

The Project has the presentation a catalogue with over 150 photographys as well as a meeting of the artist with communication student of the Malaga University and with the public.

Ernesto Fernández is member of the Association of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC, after its initials in Spanish) and this year has exhibited at the Cuban Photography Library. Some years ago he made an exhibition at the Villa Manuela gallery with pictures of the prima ballerina Alicia Alonso, director of the Cuban National Ballet.
