Applauded the cultural and educational work of Cuba
As a recognition to the educational and cultural work of Cuba classified Francoise Pinzon Gil, director of the UNESCO Program of Education for Risk Children, the donation given to the Vocational Orientation Workshop towards Arts, based in Havana.

In a press conference held at the National Ballet School of Cuba, was specified that the help means the take off of the project Danza por la vida (Dance for Life), sponsored by the REPETTO Foundation and the UNESCO with about 160, 000 USD in benefit to the artistic teaching in the island.

The Project Danza por la vida, sponsored by the prima ballerina assolutta Alicia Alonso, confer, at the same time, monetary contributions to the Dance School of the Children and Teenagers Social Integration in Fortaleza, Brasil and Dance for All, of Cape Town, South Africa.

It was also announced that the conception of a joint show made by artists fro the three countries. This show will be presented in 2008 at the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris.

Niurka Martín,, director of the National Centre of Arts Schools, thanked the support and remembered the high costs it means for the Cuban state the Vocational Orientation Workshops to arts (with 4,050 children and transport and food guaranteed).

The Repetto foundation is linked with humanitarian projects that use dance as an education and social rehabilitation and development instrument.
