Exhibition of a documentary about Antonio Núñez Jiménez

The documentary Cuevas y Revolución of the Italian film maker Salvatore Braca that is dedicated to the Cuban scientist Antonio Núñez Jimenez was shown in the Cuban capital.
This work, presented at the 29 Festival of the New Latin American Cinema, deals with different aspects of Núñez Jimenez, who was the president and founder of the organization Naturaleza y el Hombre, as well as the chief of the canoe expedition From the Amazons to the Caribbean.
The documentary includes interviews to different personalities, among whom the wife of the scientist Lupe Veliz, who recently died and who assumed the presidency of the Foundation after the death of Núñez Jiménez in 1998, tells the digital edition of Tribuna de La Habana.
Born in Alquízar, Havana province, the 20th of April 1923, the famous researcher of the Cuban geography was graduated Philosophy and Letters at Havana University and in 1940 created the Speleology Society of Cuba. Núñez wrote several books.
