Danny Glover Presents Documentary on The Cuban Five in LA

The documentary "The Trial: The Untold Story of the Cuban Five," dedicated to the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters held in US prisons, was screened last Thursday in the Hollywood Area, L.A. with the opening speech of renowned actor Danny Glover.
In a further effort to spread the truth about the five Cuban men, who were given unfair and extremely long prison sentences, the initiative is sponsored by Martin Sheen, from The Wet Wing; the National Committee to Free the Cuban Five; the National Lawyers Guild and the ANSWER Coalition.
The most recent actions related to the Cuban Five case included a tour of Indiana by activists with the National Committee to Free the Cuban Five, who met with many Indiana residents in order to tell them about the five heroes and the ongoing campaign demanding their immediate release.
Other very important events have taken place in recent weeks, including the highly successful "Breaking the Silence" conference for the Five in Toronto, and the Madison, Wisconsin university events, which brought over 200 people who heard Leonard Weinglass speak on the case.
Gerardo Hernández, Fernando González, Ramón Labañino, René González and Antonio Guerrero, known as the Cuban Five were collecting information on South-Florida based ultra right wing groups that have committed terrorist acts against the Cuban people over the past four decades.
