The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of China in Cuba, Shaon Rongxian, began this Wednesday a work visit to this eastern province of Las Tunas, where he was received by high authorities of the Communist Party and the Government, to which he expressed the interest of his country to enlarge the cooperation with the Caribbean island.

The welcome to the ambassador of China took place at Vicente García Square of the Revolution, where he met with Walter Monte Cervantes, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Communist Party, and the president of the Provincial Assembly of the People's Power, Victor Rodríguez Carballosa, and other officials of both structures.

The Chinese ambassador expressed his interest in knowing the fields in which his country can enlarge in this province the cooperation bonds, as part of the wide knots of friendship between both Party and Governments.

The Ambassador congratulated the people of this province, about 670 kilometers to the east of Havana, for the advances achieved in all the spheres of the social, economic and political life, recognized by the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party.

Walter del Monte informed to the Chinese representative the tasks in which the people is buried to satisfy their necessities with the improvement of the transport, and the roads, deteriorated by recent floods.

The president of the Provincial Assembly of the People's Power, Victor Rodríguez Caballosa, informed on the economic infrastructure of Las Tunas, in which the sugar industry and its derived products, as well as the metallurgy, the milky production, the meat sausages, and the textile industry stand out.

The agenda of the Ambassador of the Asian nation includes a visit to agricultural farms, companies of the steel, the services, and a journey by places of cultural interest in this provincial capital, among them the Park for Cattle Fairs, livened up with rodeo competition.
