National Seminar on Canadian Studies in Havana Next February

The Eighth National Seminar on Canadian Studies has been called for February 2008 by the Department of Canadian Studies of the University of Havana and by the Cuban University Network.
On this occasion, the main theme of the event, which will take place at the Hall 250 of the University of Havana, will be "Canada towards Latin America: What are the Priorities?".
Participants in the event will discuss the situation of Latin America as one of the priority areas of Canada's foreign relations from a historic and contemporary viewpoint.
For five days, they will analyze aspects dealing with trade, investments, official assistance for development, academic cooperation, cultural relations, defense and security, migration and the role of Canada within the Organization of American States.
