The International Agricultural Fair Granma 2007, to be held in the eastern Cuban province of the same name, will boost the potential of that major economic sector.

The fair, scheduled from November 24 to December 2, is sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Company for Flora and Fauna Preservation and the Cuban Association of Animal Production (ACPA).

Local authorities pointed out that that they expect this year's fair to be the best ever regarding participation and quality.

The program of the event includes rodeo competitions, equestrian activities and exhibitions of dairy and meat cattle, sheep and goats, among other attractions.

It will also include lectures, contests, children's festivals, games and trade fairs.
