Child Audiovisual Forum to be Held in Cuba
Havana's Film Festival will open in December with a novel international forum dedicated to childhood and its audiovisual universe, to be attended by experts and teachers from Europe and Latin America.
The meeting will prioritize devising working lines for the sixth World Summit on Media for Children and Youth, to be held in Karlstad, Sweden, in 2010.
The event has antecedents, such as the seminar Audiovisual Universe of Latin American Children, which has been one of the traditional spaces in the festival for two decades, and gains a new dimension this year.
Set in the historic center of the city, the event will include lectures and workshops organized by experts from Brazil, Holland, Germany, Germany, Italy and Cuba.
The program includes a debate among members of the International Center of Films for Children and Youth and teachers from Mexico, Italy and Belgium, as well as experiences in education for communication.
Havana's XXIX Festival of Latin American Cinema will be held December 4-14.
