In the tour, some members of this company performed in various cities of Spain and received a trophy for their outstanding participation in the Fourth Meeting of Carnivals of the World.

The company led by Reynaldo Echemendía presented for the first time, in the Congress of Melilla, the show Hay que tener clave or Solar Son, applauded by the specialized press of local newspapers.

In September, the Camagueyan artists completed over one hundred performances including in theatres and open door grounds, where over 97 thousand people attended during this seven-months tour.

For the first time, the Folkloric Ballet of Camagüey travelled to Egypt, where it presented its work at the Opera House of Cairo before almost 1 000 people who gave a standing ovation to this important Cuban company.

Personalities of the Egyptian culture, diplomats from Asia, Africa and Europe, aside from officials of the Cuban Embassy in this mythical country.
