Silvio Rodríguez joins italian tribute to Che Guevara

Cuban singer-songwriter Silvio Rodríguez takes part in CD "Ernesto Che Guevara, Comandante", which will be on sale in Italy on October 9, 40th murder anniversary of the Argentine-Cuban fighter.

The work splits into two parts, a compact disc on artistic documentation and another on historical documentation.

The first includes 12 songs sung by some of the most important representative exponents as much from the Italian song (Francesco Guccini, Roberto Vecchioni, Pino Daniele, Angelo Branduardi, Daniele Silvestri, Sergio Endrigo) as the Latin American one, represented by Caetano Veloso, Pablo Milanés and Silvio Rodriguez.

The disc, which opens with "Hasta siempre" (song with at least 60 discographic versions all over the world), sung by late author Carlos Puebla, contains an unpublished theme sung by comedian Alberto Patrucco in his debut as a singer, as well as a version of "Cohíba", sung by Daniele Silvestrini.

For its part, the second CD contains three documents with Fidel Castros voice when reading Ches farewell letter addressed to him and Guevara himself when addressing the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).

The discographic work is accompanied by 52 pages with written/photographic documentation, edited by Fandango radio station.
