Exhibition of Mexican Works at National Museum of Fine Arts
The exposition is part of the activities being carried out by the museum to celebrate the centennial of Frida Kahlo and the 50th anniversary of the death of Diego Rivera.
The exhibition includes 22 pieces by Jose Clemente Orozco, Diego Rivera and Jose David Alfaro Siqueiros, using techniques such as engraving, drawing and oil painting.
'Homage to Mexico...' will be on display until September 26 and it will also be part of an international colloquium that begins today under the auspices of the Havana-based Casa de las Americas cultural institution.
The mural collection of the National Museum of Fine Arts includes valuable pieces donated by Cuban artists, the Mexican Embassy in Cuba and by the authors themselves.
