Carlos Lage gives Expocuba 2007 Awards

The Expocuba 2007 Award to the best Cuban territories and enterprises was won by the Agriculture Pavilion, shared with the Cuban province of Camaguey and the Isle of Youth.
Cuban Ministers Council's Executive Committee Secretary Carlos Lage Davila delivered the awards and suggested the event should correspond to the 50th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the 20 years of Expocuba, Cuban national press agency AIN reported.
Other pavilions such as Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), the Provincial Patrimony Center of Cienfuegos, and the pavilions of Las Tunas, Granma and the Fishing Industry were also awarded.
Lage urged the workers to labor intensively to present Cuban President Fidel Castro, Expocuba creator, a totally renovated building for 2009.
Among the most significant exhibits, Pedro Abreu, director of Expocuba, highlighted that dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the fall of Ernesto Che Guevara in combat and the one to the emergency campaign hospital of the Henry Reeve International Medical Detachment.
