Undefeated Cuba Vs. USA in Junior Baseball semifinals
In another episode of the worlds longest standing baseball rivalry, Cuba plays the United States Friday in the semifinals of the 2007 Confederation of Pan American Baseball Federations "AAA" Pan Am Junior Championships for players 18-and-under taking place in Ixtapa, Mexico.

On Thursday, Cuba (4-0) defeated Venezuela 6-3 to remain undefeated while the US lost its first game 8-7 to Mexico.

The Cubans started their third consecutive left-hander, Frank del Valle Arrebato, who allowed just three hits in the first three innings as the teams fourth starter.

The Mexican victory over the US left the crowd delirious at the Zihatanejo Stadium. The win allowed Mexico to win Group B and now plays Canada in the other semifinal match up.

With the semifinalists decided (Cuba, USA, Mexico and Canada), the four available tickets to the Edmonton, Canada 2008 World Baseball Championship were issued.
