The Mexican Autonomous University of Puebla and the Cuban University of Camaguey have signed an agreement seeking to boost the scientific and academic exchanges established between the two countries over the last 15 years.
The accord was signed by Enrique Aguera and Carlos Diaz, rectors of the Mexican and the Cuban higher education institutions respectively, reports PL news agency.
Aguera stressed the importance of the agreement and noted that the exchange between the two universities has already benefited some 3,000 students.
He also pointed out that the cooperation was initially established between the faculties of construction, but it has progressively extended to the other faculties of both universities.
For his part, Carlos Diaz highlighted the efforts carried out by both institutions to maintain cooperation, which is reflected in the increasing number of graduates over the last few years.
