Cuban students enrich knowledge
Cuban student and youth organizations advocate Tuesday for an academic year in which quality surpasses the necessary teaching materials and enriches students' knowledge and conscience.

Representatives from those groups coordinate political and cultural exchange, as part of activities for the beginning and development of the coming school year, Granma newspaper reports today.

The Middle School Student Federation and the Federation of University Students, the Young Communist League, the Pioneer Organization, the Jose Marti Art Teachers Brigade, the Hermanos Saiz Association and the National Video Club Program participate in this task.

All of them jointly plan to recognize teachers' efforts to train nearly 3,000 students.

Among ideas is voluntary work scheduled for September 1 to prepare educational centers, presentation of books and films, social debate forums, and exchange on how students use time.
