Local theater causes sensation in Las Tunas
The theatrical group Teatro Tuyo, from the Cuban eastern province of Las Tunas, reaffirmed its popularity and success in box offices, with the remake of the play Ceniciento.

The modern version of the classic short story for children, in charge of the group that is directed by Ernesto Parra, had already made history in this Cuban city in 2003. The spectators expected this remake, a play that is closer to their current social environment, to make them to laugh and to think.

On this original idea, Ernesto Parra expressed that his purpose was to make a parody of everything, of the dramatic theater, of the action movies, of the music and of the current dances. In short, a parody to the same remake of the play.

Ceniciento is a rolling history in which the public can find the characters that appear in the children short story, in a current scene with modern clothes, extravagant appearances with all the artistic intention to call the attention on what we are and on how we live.

The members of Teatro Tuyo make an excellent performance with this proposal in dissimilar humorous characters that assume with their accustomed grace of Ernesto, Yury Roja, Yaneydi Gomez, Katia Lopez, and the most recent acquisition in the group: Mandy Mora.

The members of Teatro Tuyo are making a season for children during this summer in several squares of Las Tunas city as in Casa del Joven Creador, and in the cultural centers La Pergola and in Huellas. In August they will bring another of their classics: Bertoldo, el feo.
