Moncada combatants and Granma  expeditionary veterans arrive in Camaguey
Revolutionary veteran combatants, including those who attacked the Moncada Barracks and members of the GranmaYatch expeditionary force, arrived Monday in Camaguey to take part in the festivities marking the 54th anniversary of the National Rebelliousness Day, on July 26th.

Renowned combatants such as Brigadier General Calixto García Martínez, Emilio Albentoza Chávez and Enrique Cosmarán Pérez, who participated in both actions; Agustín Díaz Cartilla, who wrote the July 26th Hymn, and Captain Norberto Collado, helmsman of the Granma Yatch are part of the visiting delegation, totalling 32 people.

Julio César García Rodríguez, First Secretary of the Communist Party (PCC) in the territory and Jesús García Collazo, Camaguey's provincial Governor, accompanied by members of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution and primary school students (pioneros) welcomed the veterans at the Ignacio Agramonte International Airport.

When welcoming the visitors, Eduardo López Leyva, member of the provincial PCC Politburo expressed, on behalf of the people of Camaguey, the great satisfaction we feel for having the combatants as guests. Immediately afterwards, López Leyva called them the vanguard of the revolutionary struggle.

From Monday to Thursday (July 26th), the veterans will follow a tight schedule that includes visits to historic sites, meetings with people of different generations, exhibitions, galas and above all the recognition of the people that appreciate and admire their heroism.
