Last group of cuban athletes travel to Rio de Janeiro
The group is made up of 85 people; among them are athletes in the sports of male volleyball, sailing, water polo, synchronized swimming, diving, as well as referees and outstanding former Cuban athletes.

The island's delegates were seen off at the Jose Martí International Airport by first vice-president of the Cuban National Sports Institute (INDER), Roberto Leon Richards, and high-ranking officials of that body.

The same flight will bring back to Cuba early on Saturday the athletes who have already competed in Rio Pan Am Games, inaugurated on July 13.

Thus far, Cuban athletes have made brilliant performances throughout the games, obtaining gold medals is weightlifting, female volleyball, tae kwon do, rowing and markmanship.
