This is a project from the US religious foundation Pastors for Peace, which has long led an extensive movement of support for Cuba and criticized the Washington economic, financial and trade blockade against the island.
The delegation is made up of some 150 activists from several countries and has toured dozens of US and Canadian cities, gathering about 90 tons of donations and demonstrations of fraternity with the Caribbean nation.
The solidarity mission established 14 routes over the last few weeks in the US and southern Canada, receiving donations for the Cuban people from Toronto, Vancouver, and Quebec, among other localities.
The caravan, led by Reverend Lucius Walker, is expected to leave for Cuba on Thursday, if they have no problems with US federal authorities.
