Cuba cultivates rural education
Nearly 250 Latin America and Caribbean experts show in this city Wednesday some alternatives for pre-school education in rural zones, on occasion of the International Workshop titled "Educating under Palm Trees."

Ibelice Turino, coordinator of the event, told Prensa Latina that the aim is to bring visitors closer to the work carried out in three communities of this province, west of Havana, with children up to six years old.

Today"s meeting is part of the Third International Workshop on Rural Initial and Preschool Education, opened in the Cuban capital Tuesday, under the auspices of the UN Education, Science and Culture Organization.

According to Turino, the agenda includes touring of rural children care centers and primary schools, as well as scientific workshops to favor exchange.
