Over 200 students from 51 countries received their Bachelor's Degree Tuesday from the International School for Sports and Physical Education bringing its alumnae to 1,050.

This year's 245 graduates, the third graduation since its founding on Feb 26, 2001, includes integral graduates from Mexico, Honduras, Cuba, Senegal, Argentina, Bolivia, Tunisia, plus the PDR of Laos for the first time ever.

Costa Rican Gerardo Zuniga was magna cum lauda with a 5.51 point average, the highest in the school's history.

Among the Cuban guests at the ceremony were Jose Ramon Fernandez, president of the Cuban Olympic Committee, and Christian Jimenez, chairman of Cuba's Sports Institute (INDER).

Fernandez congratulated the graduates, wished them a successful carreer and hoped they will help indigenous peoples and work where they are more necessary and useful.
