The Cultural Brigade of solidarity with Cuba, Dos Alas, coming from Puerto Rico is in Las Tunas to participate in the most important event of the rural culture in this Caribbean island, the Cucalambeana Folkloric Party that will run in this eastern city until Sunday, July fist.

Arturo Santiago, president of the brigade, stated that his delegation is integrated by 52 members, included 12 oral poets and musicians, while the others are professionals in the branch of education.

Santiago also said that the brigade was created six years ago and this is the third time they attend this rural party. He considers it as the best world event in the ten-line stanza.

The Puerto Rican brothers were received at the provincial branch of Cuban Friendship Institute (ICAP) by Nai Caballero, president of that institution in Las Tunas.

On Friday morning the Caribbean brigade will make a meeting against terrorism in the museum that render homage to the Cuban fencing team, victim of murderous acts made against our nation in Barbados, sabotage to a Cubana airliner where 73 people died.

The cultural Puerto Rican brigade arrived at Las Tunas coming from Granma province, after traveling by Santiago de Cuba and its famous places such as La Granjita Siboney, a farm, and the Guillermon Moncada Garrison, attacked by Fidel Castro in 1953. They will continue their trip through the whole island until arriving at Havana City.
