Cuba defends Intercontinental Cup title

<p style="text-align: justify;">Taipei - Record champions Cuba won a third straight title in the baseball Intercontinental Cup on Sunday by defeating the Netherlands. Cuba cruised to a 4-1 victory over the Dutch at the Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium to lift the trophy an 11th time in 17 editions of the tournament. Speaker makes plea to lift Cuban embargo

Cuba Wins 2010 Intercontinental Cup

<p style="text-align: justify;">Cuban team beat Netherlands 4-1 in the gold medal game and became the champion of the 2010 Intercontinental Baseball Cup which began in Oct 23 in this city. An outstanding performance of starting right handed Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez secured the Cuban victory. Holland was second and Italy surprisingly got bronze after defeating Chinese Taipei 4-3.
