Former Partner of El Taiger, La China Lay, Criticizes Teresa Padrón: "Let Him Rest in Peace"

Layma L. Escalona, widely recognized on social media as La China Lay and former girlfriend of reggaeton artist El Taiger, has taken to Instagram to voice her dissatisfaction with Teresa Padrón, the musician's former manager. Lay's frustration stems from Padrón's continued references to El Taiger, despite more than six months having passed since his death.

“Respect means ceasing to speak about the deceased… it's been over six months, let him rest,” expressed the influencer in a visibly irritated tone, criticizing what she sees as an ongoing exploitation of the artist's image for online content.

In her posts, La China Lay condemns Teresa's persistence in repeatedly bringing up El Taiger, threatening to release previously unseen audios, photos, and videos of the reggaeton star if the situation persists, aiming to “clear everything up once and for all.”

The artist's ex also harshly criticized the use of the singer's vulnerable family members, accusing Teresa of exploiting even El Taiger's grandmother, who suffers from dementia, to produce monetizable content: “Stop using José's grandmother to create reels and make money. Don’t mention Magda; you didn't even know her,” she stated in another post, referring to the singer's mother.

Furthermore, La China accused Teresa of never having been close to the artist, alleging she profits from his death: “You're the only one who has benefited from his passing… and to top it off, now you're an influencer. Dear God, how can you?”

In her defense, Teresa Padrón shared a video showing El Taiger expressing his intention to tattoo her name, which has been interpreted as an attempt to affirm the bond she claims they shared.
