The Maraguán Artistic Group from the University of Camaguey, travel to Chile for the first time in its XXI International tour. A symbol of the amateur artists movement from the FEU (Spanish for University Students Federation), the group left after offering a performance at the FITCUBA 2008 Tourism International Festival, in the Morro-Cabaña Park from Havana.

The theater company La Colmenita finished their participation on the fourth edition of the International Festival of Children’s Theater in this capital city, even though their tour around the country lasted until May 4.

Maestro Fernando Alonso, one of the most relevant figures in the history of Cuban ballet, received on Wednesday the Benois Dance Prize at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, Russia, for his artistic career.

The "Longest Rumba in the World" is one of the most outstanding events of Cubadisco 2008 International Fair. Hundreds of Cuban drummers and folklore dancers began a marathon rumba (over 300 hours) in Holguin that will extend to the entire country. It began last midnight Friday.
