Cuba's National Ballet on stage in Costa Rica
Cuba's National Ballet is at the stage of the National Theatre in San Jose, Costa Rica on the nights of Friday, May 25, and Saturday, May 26.
Under the direction of prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso, thewide-ranging performance includes "Tiempo de Danzon" (Danzon Time) by young choreographer Eduardo Blanco, and the pas de deux "El Corsario" (The Corsair).
On stage will also be "Despues del Diluvio" (After the Deluge), by Alberto Mendez.
Eduardo Blanco closes the representation with his choreography of "El Chueco", inspired by a 1951 ballet by Mexican dancer and choreographer Guillermo Keys.
Featured will be lead dancers Miguel Angel Blanco and Anette Delgado. Other talented dancers include Carolina Garcia, Amaya Rodriguez, Elizabeth Sosa, Vanessa Haidar, Anais Tirado, Adiene Garcia, Masiel Alonso, Ana Moreira, Maureen Gil, Gretel Morejon, and Fabian Morales.
