Cuban dancers Linnet Gonzalez and Ernesto Alvarez, soloists of the Cuban National Ballet took part at the VI International Ballet Gala in Nicaragua, held in the cities of Leon and Managua of that friendly country.
The Cuban company was at the Nicaraguan event following an invitation of Luis Morales, general Director of the Nicaraguan Cultural Institute.
The program of the Cuban dancers was made out of Nutcracker pas de deux (Choreography: Alicia Alonso, on the original of Lev Ivanov. Music: Piotr Ilich Chaikovski. Design Guido Fiorato) and Alfonsina (Choreography: Gustavo Herrera. Music: Julio Bueno and Fernando Condon, on the piece Alfonsina y el mar, by Ariel Ramírez. Design: Salvador Fernández).
