On November 8, 2026, a unique astrological event occurs as Mercury, currently in retrograde within Scorpio, forms a precise quintile with Jupiter positioned in Leo. This celestial alignment is often associated with the potential to unearth innovative solutions to longstanding challenges.
Adding to this cosmic landscape, a waning Moon also traverses Scorpio, joining Mercury and symbolically reinforcing a period of reflection before embarking on new plans or ventures. As we look ahead to November 9, a new Moon heralds the start of a fresh cycle brimming with opportunities.
The Quintile Aspect in Astrology
In astrology, a quintile is a less common aspect formed when two celestial bodies are separated by a 72-degree angle, representing one-fifth of the zodiacal circle. This geometric configuration is linked to the shape of a pentagon and was introduced to astrological study by Johannes Kepler in the 17th century.
Unlike more prominent aspects like conjunctions or oppositions, a quintile is often interpreted as a subtle linkage between creative talents, ideas, and resources.
Mercury, embodying reasoning, communication, and analysis, invites a reconsideration of unresolved questions during its retrograde phase in Scorpio. Meanwhile, Jupiter in Leo symbolizes confidence, expansive vision, and the drive to develop projects. While their quintile does not promise success outright, it suggests a blend of detailed observation with a broader, more ambitious perspective.
The zodiac signs most strongly influenced by this energy are Scorpio and Leo due to the planets' positions. Additionally, Gemini and Sagittarius may experience heightened sensitivity given their planetary rulerships.
