Bebeshito Fulfills Childhood Dream by Living His Own Lightning McQueen Movie in Radiator Springs

Tuesday, November 3, 2026 by Sofia Valdez

Cuban singer Bebeshito brought a piece of childhood fantasy to life this Tuesday by sharing a reel on Instagram. In the video, he can be seen exploring a town along the historic Route 66 in the southwestern United States, the very landscape that inspired Pixar's creation of Radiator Springs, the fictional setting of the movie Cars.

The Instagram video features Bebeshito, whose real name is Oniel, quoting lines from the movie's dub as he strolls through the town: "You're in Radiator Springs, the cutest little town in Carburetor County / Gosh, amazing / If you think that's great, wait till you see the rest of the town."

He captioned his post succinctly: "Fulfilling childhood dreams as an adult."

The southwestern route aligns with the path of Route 66 in Arizona, an area Pixar used as a primary reference for the design of Radiator Springs. The fictional town from Cars—where the race car Lightning McQueen finds himself stranded and re-evaluates his life—was modeled by combining elements from real-life towns, with Seligman, Arizona, being the most direct inspiration. Seligman saw a decline when Interstate 40 rerouted traffic away from the old highway.

The response from his followers, many of whom are Cuban, was swift and filled with nostalgia. The reel quickly garnered thousands of likes and numerous comments.

The reactions blended childlike excitement with the bittersweetness of distance. "They wouldn't understand, brother. It was so emotional. That's childhood, bro. We're getting old," wrote one follower.

Others chimed in with sentiments like "Thanks for showing me what my childhood dream looks like," "Fulfilling the dreams of many," and "We're still kids at heart."

This visit is part of a road trip that Bebeshito and his wife, Rachel Arderi, embarked on to celebrate their third wedding anniversary. The couple set off from Miami by car, traveling approximately 34 hours over three days, passing through Texas, Utah, and Arizona.

Some stops along their journey included Amarillo in Texas and the Amangiri resort in Utah, where Rachel shared stunning snapshots. The couple also documented their visit to Lake Powell, located on the border between Arizona and Utah.
