Kevincito El 13 and Dany Ome Address Fans from a U.S. Hospital: "We Hadn't Shared This Before, But..."

Thursday, October 29, 2026 by Daniel Colon

The Cuban reggaeton artist Kevincito El 13 has been unable to walk for nearly a month, a situation revealed by his partner Dany Ome in an Instagram video this Wednesday. Both musicians decided to break their silence regarding a medical condition they had kept private.

"We hadn't shared anything publicly, but we believe it's time to explain what's been happening," wrote Dany Ome alongside the video, where Kevincito appears visibly affected. Kevincito mentioned that the doctor initially categorized the procedure as a "minimally invasive" surgery, yet complications arose.

Kevincito did not disclose specific details about the leg surgery, mentioning that only medical professionals understand the technical terms, but he assured that his recovery is progressing well.

An Instagram story from Kevincito himself shows him in a wheelchair with a bandaged leg, accompanied by Dany Ome outside what appears to be a medical facility in the United States.

"The reality is that Kevin hasn't been able to walk for a month, which is why we've had to manage these days differently," explained Dany Ome. He clarified that several followers had spotted him alone in public, leading to speculation about a potential split of the duo.

The injury forced the artists to cancel or postpone several engagements of their Tendencia US Tour 2026, which included dates in Orlando, Louisville, New York, Houston, and Tampa, among other cities.

The only concert still scheduled is on November 8 at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida.

Dany Ome was clear about their immediate plans: "We won't be performing any other concerts until my brother is fully recovered."

Both artists addressed the separation rumors circulating on social media during Kevincito's absence from the public eye. "The only way we'd separate is if one of us dies, and even then, we would still love each other," stated Dany Ome.

Kevincito shared an Instagram story expressing gratitude for the support received: "Thanks to everyone who has been concerned. Thank God everything turned out well."

The Miami-based duo is experiencing one of their peak moments in international exposure. In April 2026, they released "Paciente" with Ozuna and collaborated with Wisin on "Extrañarte más" in September, strengthening their presence in the Latin American reggaeton scene.

"Health always comes first, and so does family. This is another battle that we will overcome together, as we always have," concluded Dany Ome.
