Kevusho Splurges Nearly $20,000 on Another Hermès: "Don't Mistake It for Your Grandma's Wicker Bag"

Tuesday, October 27, 2026 by Christopher Ramirez

The Cuban influencer known as Kevusho once again made waves on social media this Tuesday with a new unboxing video featuring a Hermès bag he purchased in New York. The boutique price for such an item hovers around $17,500, but with the city's sales tax, the total came to approximately $19,000.

Kevin Martínez, Kevusho's real name, who is based in New York, kicked off the video with his signature humorous flair, addressing his audience as "María Julia": "Today, we woke up ready to spend, and we might have just dropped 20,000 pains on this little box."

What adds an intriguing layer to this episode is the backstory. Just four days before, Kevusho publicly called out a former Hermès saleswoman who borrowed $6,000 from him and never paid it back.

In the video, Kevusho jokes that Hermès' response was to offer him this bag to keep quiet: "The folks at Hermès said, 'We'll give you a bag if you stop talking about us, just zip it already.' A bribe, I love it, give it to meeee."

The bag, a Hermès Mini Kelly Picnic, which Kevusho insists should not be compared to "your grandma's wicker bag," is a limited edition piece combining wicker and leather. On the secondary market, it fetches between $59,500 and $65,500, according to specialized platforms.

This fact forms the basis of Kevusho's justification for the expenditure: "This is one of the best investments you can make this month. These bags are super limited and can triple their boutique price. So, this could be worth up to $60,000."

The influencer also took the opportunity to inventory his collection. He already owned another bag of the same model in a different color and a Birkin. "María Julia, there's $180,000 worth of investment right here. Tell me if I'm not investing our money well," he declared, not to mention the other luxury bags in his closet.

His followers mostly responded with enthusiasm. Compliments, jokes about the "bribe," and loan requests were abundant. One commented, "Lend it to me so I can go to Goodwill and speculate, please." Another wryly noted, "I keep sending SHEIN links to my contacts, and I get nothing. I'm heading to Hermès to start gossiping, see if I get bribed like that."

Skeptical voices were also present. One comment directly questioned the price: "How brands play with people's minds because that bag is never worth $17,000. It's not made of exotic leather, doesn't have gold or silver, it's just Hermès."

This unboxing comes just two weeks after Kevusho's previous viral episode: the Cuban influencer walked into Dior in Miami ready to spend $40,000 but was ignored due to his casual attire, prompting him to travel to New York to complete the purchase.

With over 252,000 followers on Instagram, Kevusho has become one of the most followed Cuban creators in the luxury niche, and each of his encounters with major brands ends up being, paradoxically, free publicity for both parties.
