Cuban singer L Kimii announced on Thursday that he has signed a contract with ONErpm, a leading global music distribution company, through an Instagram post that featured images of the signing.
"All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you. With good company, we become better," he expressed alongside the photos.
The images depict the artist, whose real name is Osniel Andrés Cobarrubia Alfonso, signing documents adorned with the ONErpm logo, alongside a company representative.
The agreement didn't come out of nowhere: the partnership between L Kimii and the distributor had been evident since September 2026, when his single "Semana," featuring Lenier, was released under the exclusive license of the company.
ONErpm operates with a workforce of over 600 professionals across 43 offices in 26 countries, providing digital distribution, marketing, and audience development for independent artists. The company has shown strong support for Cuban artists, including Dany Ome & Kevincito El 13, Jacob Forever, and Wampi, among others.
Just two days before L Kimii's announcement, ONErpm hosted a showcase during the Billboard Latin Music Week at the Faena Theater in Miami Beach, featuring Dany Ome & Kevincito El 13 along with other Latin artists, demonstrating its strategy to become a leader in the genre on the global stage.
At the end of his post, L Kimii hinted at his upcoming performance at Tropical Park in Miami, where he is set to appear as part of the "Noches de Reparto" series at the House of Horror Haunted Carnival this October, alongside Gente de Zona and the duo Dany Ome and Kevincito El 13.
This announcement comes at a time of increased visibility for the artist. Last Monday, L Kimii and Wampi confirmed they have reconciled after more than a year of estrangement, with plans to collaborate musically.
Born and raised in the Los Sitios neighborhood of Centro Habana, L Kimii gained international recognition as part of the duo El Kimiko & Yordy, which amassed millions of streams on Spotify and appeared on Billboard charts before disbanding in March 2022.
After emigrating to the United States via Peru, he launched a solo career from Miami, which in September 2025 saw him fill the Watsco Center with approximately 8,000 attendees. In 2026, he continued to achieve milestones, purchasing his first home and later acquiring a Lamborghini, which he shared publicly as symbols of his rise.
The partnership with ONErpm solidifies his position as an independent artist supported by a top-tier distributor, in a year where Cuban music continues to gain traction in the international music scene.
