Cuban Woman's Hilarious Horse Ride Turns Heads in the U.S.

Thursday, October 22, 2026 by Emma Garcia

Lalito had quite a scare! A Cuban woman living in the United States became the center of attention when she hopped on a mare during a farm visit. What was supposed to be a leisurely ride turned into a spectacle filled with screams, nerves, and laughter. The amusing incident was captured on video and shared on TikTok, quickly amassing over 187,000 views.

The woman at the heart of this escapade is the mother of Cuban content creator La Churri (@lachurriruiz). In August, La Churri posted the video, revealing how her mother, affectionately nicknamed "Lalito," decided to fulfill a promise made the previous day: to ride a horse.

"Lalito comes from Lalo, and Lalo from 'the crazy one,' so we lovingly call her Lalito," the influencer explained with a chuckle as she introduced her mom.

Lalito was determined to have the experience her way. She insisted on riding barefoot, reminiscing about her days in Cuba, and refused any assistance on the mount.

"You can't go with her because she'll do whatever she wants and you'll lose balance," her daughter's husband cautioned before the ride began.

However, the calm didn't last. The mare, named Shakira, picked up speed, catching Lalito off guard and turning the ride into a moment of genuine fright.

"Easy, mom, easy, you won't be able to stop her," someone urged as Lalito desperately tried to control the horse, crying out, "Stop her! Oh my God!"

Amid the nerves and laughter from onlookers, La Churri uttered a phrase that became one of the video's highlights: "Oh no, we've lost Lalito!"

Fortunately, it all ended without incident. A young man nearby assisted Lalito off the horse safely.

"Lalo will never dare ride Shakira again," La Churri joked after her mother's unexpected adventure.

The video sparked a flurry of reactions on TikTok, garnering over 16,300 likes, nearly 2,800 comments, and more than 4,300 shares.

This isn't the first time La Churri has gone viral with her antics. In September, her mother amused followers by jumping into a Florida river to cool off from menopausal hot flashes, a clip that surpassed 96,000 views.

Humor seems to be a staple in La Churri's family adventures. At the end of the horse video, the influencer extended a lively invitation: "Goodbye depression. Look, churris, if you're feeling down and want to come to the farm..."
