Lian R Carbonell, believed to be the new girlfriend of Cuban volleyball star Leo Leyva, stirred up social media with an Instagram post that many quickly interpreted as a subtle jab at Iraisel Pintueles, Leyva's ex-wife.
The post from her account @mssrosell_02, which was shared by influencer Un Martí To Durako, left little room for doubt: "Obviously, I'm different. He didn't meet me on Instagram; he liked me from the first time he saw me, even without knowing me."
The caption, "Pure coincidence...", further fueled the speculation among those closely following the saga of Leo, Iraisel, and their recent divorce, which Iraisel confirmed in July 2026 after just 13 months of marriage.
Not long after, Iraisel appeared to respond with a post of her own, sharing a story that read: "Today will be a long day but… VI—VANNNN." This was enough for followers of both women to see it as a counter-response, with Un Martí To Durako amplifying the drama with a post that garnered hundreds of reactions: "The jabs have been flying for days, and I didn’t even notice this movie."
Before the situation escalated further, Iraisel clarified her stance in the comments: "I want to make it clear that I don't throw shade because, sincerely, I find it extremely immature. Relationships end, new ones begin, and everyone should move on with their lives," she wrote.
In the same comment, Iraisel explained that "VIVAN" carried no hidden meaning: "I used it because it's viral, funny, and comedic, not as a message to anyone. That's not my style, nor do I engage in such things. I'm focused on my life, my projects, and what's important to me. The past is the past, and the lives of others honestly don't interest me."
This episode comes weeks after Leo Leyva publicly confirmed his new relationship with Lian R Carbonell in September, leaving affectionate comments on her posts and writing in Italian, "La mia cosa ricca."
Meanwhile, Iraisel was also rumored to be in a new romance in August, though she never confirmed who her new partner might be.
