Cuban reggaeton artists Wampi and L Kimii have settled their differences and announced a new musical collaboration, ending over a year of estrangement and social media jabs.
It seems L Kimii initiated the reconciliation by sending a private message to Wampi, which he later shared on his Instagram stories, accompanied by Wampi's song "Desigual."
"Bro, let's stop the nonsense and make music. Now is the time!!!!!!" wrote L Kimii, known in real life as Osniel Andrés Cobarrubia Alfonso.
Wampi, whose real name is Dasiel Mustelier Oruña, quickly responded. He shared their conversation with the caption "FOR CUBAN CULTURE AND MUSIC," confirming his willingness to collaborate: "Let's do it, man, let's make it happen."
In their exchange, L Kimii clarified that while they might not need to rekindle their friendship, they could still join forces: "For real, Dasiel, we don't have to be best friends, but it's time to make history, and this is our chance."
L Kimii also hinted at starting to prepare music to send to Wampi, sparking excitement among fans about the potential collaboration between these two Cuban urban genre figures.
The friction between the artists became public in 2025 when their names were linked to Cuban influencer Samantha Hernández, who had romantic ties with both at different times.
In August of that year, rumors began circulating about a relationship between L Kimii and Samantha, fueling speculations of a rivalry with Wampi.
Around that time, Wampi unveiled the cover of "El Rey de La Habana 7," which many fans interpreted as a possible diss aimed at L Kimii and Samantha.
The indirect references continued on social media. Wampi posted a video with the phrase "I am your past, your present, and your future," while L Kimii shared an image of Samantha with flowers, captioned "Finally found out where she lived. Flowers for her."
Months later, in June 2026, Samantha Hernández declared on the reality show Destino Tolk that she had moved on from "those people," referring to the two reggaeton artists.
Now, Wampi and L Kimii's decision to bury the hatchet has thrilled their fans, who are eager to hear both artists on the same track.
As of now, neither has revealed the title or release date of their upcoming musical project.
