A Cuban national arrested in Orlando, Florida, has been highlighted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in its latest update to the "Worst of the Worst" website. This platform recently expanded with the addition of 5,000 new profiles of undocumented immigrants with alleged criminal backgrounds.

The individual, identified by initials M.N.M., was one of only ten cases specifically chosen by DHS to exemplify the platform's expansion, as noted in a statement released on September 30.

DHS attributes M.N.M. with a variety of criminal histories, including lewd acts with a minor, failing to register as a sex offender, burglary, theft, and forgery. However, the statement does not clarify which of these are convictions, charges, or arrests, leaving the legal outcomes unspecified.

With this update, WOW.DHS.gov now hosts over 40,000 profiles, according to the U.S. government.

The platform was launched on December 8, 2025, during Donald Trump's administration to disseminate information about undocumented immigrants detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) with criminal records attributed by authorities.

Upon announcing the new profiles, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin justified the database as a transparency measure. "We have added 5,000 more criminals to our most dangerous website, bringing the total available to over 40,000," he stated.

Mullin noted that these profiles represent only a fraction of those detained by ICE, affirming the administration's commitment to prioritizing the deportation of immigrants with criminal records.

Throughout 2026, several Cuban nationals have been featured on the WOW site due to serious criminal allegations.

Increasing Presence of Cuban Nationals on DHS Lists

In July, another Cuban appeared in a site update after DHS linked him to the Sureños gang and accused him of child exploitation and manslaughter.

In August, another Cuban was added for alleged involvement in a sexual crime against a minor and arson.

By September, yet another Cuban was highlighted by ICE following an arrest in St. Petersburg, Florida. This individual had prior convictions, including one for soliciting murder.

The immigration crackdown has significantly impacted Cuban nationals. ICE arrests of Cuban nationals surged by 463% between October 2024 and January 2026, as reported by the Cato Institute.

The "Worst of the Worst" platform has faced scrutiny over the accuracy of some records. In February, DHS admitted to errors in some of the published data and made corrections following media inquiries.
