On Wednesday, Daniela Reyes sparked a social media storm by sharing a collection of photos in a metallic gold bikini. Accompanied by sun and wink emojis, she proclaimed, "With these photos, I can finally say goodbye to summer."

With professional studio lighting, a teal backdrop, and smoke effects, the images quickly garnered nearly 7,000 likes and over 150 comments. However, the reactions weren’t all positive.

The post immediately ignited a heated discussion among her followers about the possibility of excessive digital retouching, a recurring issue for the Cuban model and influencer based in Miami.

Debating the Reality Behind the Images

Some comments directly criticized the editing: "There's too much editing in those photos. That body doesn't look like that in real life," wrote one follower, who further suggested skeptics could "watch her on the swimsuit runway in person," where, she claimed, "it's clear that the body isn't as toned as it appears in these images and that, after losing so much weight, there's still some noticeable looseness in the thighs and buttocks."

Several followers pointed out that Daniela had shared a behind-the-scenes video of the photo set on her Instagram stories, showing the same figure as in the still images: "That body you see there is the one she has. Those muscles are hers."

This controversy isn’t new. In August, during her participation in Miss Universe Cuba 2026, a similar debate over alleged Photoshop use in her promotional images arose. In response, she shared behind-the-scenes footage from the session to prove her figure was untouched.

Daniela was a crowd favorite at the event, but the crown went to Mia Dio (Mia Angelina Donadio Cancio), representing Isla de la Juventud, at the gala held on August 20 at the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center in Cutler Bay, Florida.

After not winning the crown, Daniela shared a message expressing that "perhaps this dream didn't end as we imagined," but she still extended her gratitude to the pageant and her supporters.
