Randy Arozarena, a Cuban-born player now representing Mexico, delivered one of his standout performances this season on Sunday by hitting two home runs during the intense matchup between the Seattle Mariners and the Athletics. This season also marked a historical achievement: on August 23, after hitting his 20th home run, Arozarena became the first Cuban player to complete six consecutive seasons with at least 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases in MLB, a streak that began in 2021 and continues strong in 2026.

Despite the individual brilliance of Mariners' number 56, the team's collective outlook remains bleak. Seattle is trailing six games behind in the Wild Card race with just a few weeks left in the regular season, making a postseason appearance highly unlikely.
