Dominican singer La Perversa recently took to Instagram to announce her participation in the remix of "Biónica," the catchy Cuban track by Ja Rulay and Bebeshito, leaving her fans eagerly awaiting its release.
On her verified account @laperversa, she shared a reel featuring a sneak peek of her rendition, which blends Cuban and Dominican flavors seamlessly. Accompanying the video was a bold message: "WHEN ARE WE DROPPING THIS REMIX that's frozen. MIAMI, SEE YOU SOON."
The confirmation of the project's seriousness came when @ja_rulay himself chimed in the comments, adding to the buzz surrounding the remix.
The Viral Phenomenon of "Biónica"
Not just any song, "Biónica" was released in December 2025 by Planet Records Cuba/Miami, produced by Dave Produce and Roberto Ferrante. It has amassed over 14 million views on YouTube, becoming a viral sensation within Cuban music in the 2025-2026 cycle. The track has evoked reactions ranging from a Cuban woman in a hospital to a baby who stopped crying upon hearing it.
Anticipation Builds for the Remix
While the official release date for the remix is still under wraps, the preview has already garnered over 20,000 likes and more than 1,100 comments in a matter of hours, with Miami being the anticipated venue for the collaboration's debut.
La Perversa's Rising Star
La Perversa is stepping into this collaboration at the peak of her career. In April, she released her album "Scorpion" under Mapa Negro Music, and her latest single "Mona" — a musical retort to La Más Doll's diss track — hit number one in both the Dominican Republic and Panama.
The ongoing rivalry with La Más Doll has also amplified her visibility, following a physical altercation between the two in a Santo Domingo nightclub parking lot in June, which was widely shared on social media.
Meanwhile, the Cuban urban music scene continues to gain international traction, and having one of the most prominent voices in Dominican dembow join "Biónica" speaks volumes about the current momentum of Cuban music.
