Roosevelt Sebastián Perdomo Torres, one of the two survivors from the van struck by an Amazon cargo plane at Miami International Airport, has filed a lawsuit against the company and other entities connected to the flight. According to a report from EFE over the weekend, Perdomo Torres’s lawyers initiated legal action in the Florida Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court. The lawsuit targets Amazon, Amazon Air Cargo, companies involved in the plane's operation, and the two pilots.
While EFE identifies Perdomo Torres as having a Latino background, his specific nationality has not been disclosed.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages, arguing that negligence and other failures contributed to the September 6 incident. On that day, Perdomo Torres was riding in a Ford Econoline van with six other cleaning workers from Professional Ocean Service Corp. when a Boeing 767-300, operated by 21 Air for Amazon Prime Air, veered off the runway, colliding with the vehicle on airport grounds.
Five of his colleagues were killed, while Perdomo Torres and another occupant survived. Local 10 reported that the impact hurled Perdomo Torres through the air, resulting in multiple fractures.
Ongoing Legal and Emotional Battle
He remained hospitalized days after the crash, with his attorneys stating that he also suffered disfigurement and emotional trauma due to the event. The lawsuit further claims that there were cockpit warnings about the aircraft's speed during its approach.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) later released data showing one of the pilots repeatedly warned that the plane was approaching too quickly, even suggesting aborting the maneuver.
