Farewells reflect the deep affection Crespo inspired across multiple generations in Santa Clara. "I will miss you Crespo Jacomino, with all my heart. What pain," wrote theater actress Lizandra Martin Martin.
Tobi Thiele described him as "a legend of Santa Clara," while Cuban tres player Maykel Elizarde Ruano remembered him as "a great friend and loyal collaborator, an activist of El Mejunje."
