Cuban Delivery Woman Reveals Her Biggest Fear While Making Deliveries: "It Happens Every Day"

A Cuban delivery woman named Yaime Moreno has become a TikTok sensation with a short video where she shares her biggest fear while delivering packages. Interestingly, it's not about being caught doing her job poorly, but rather the fear of being caught on camera tripping.

Yaime admits with a natural charm that has won over much of the internet, "I live in constant fear that a customer will use their Ring camera to film me while I’m delivering a package. Not because of how I deliver it, but because of everything that happens to me while doing it."

To highlight her worry, she uses a classic Cuban expression: "I just took a 'boniato'—if you don't know, it means a stumble—that almost had me opening the customer's door and joining them for lunch inside." She adds with resignation, "And this happens every day. If it's not a 'boniato,' it's tripping over the box. Oh my God!"

The clip has amassed over 492,000 views, 30,000 likes, and more than 1,000 comments, sparking a flood of supportive confessions in the comments section, making it an event in itself.

One user shared that during their time as an Amazon delivery driver, they had to climb a tree to escape three Dobermans, while the owner recorded the ordeal, leaving them unsure if the video was uploaded. Another recounted slipping in the rain while refusing to drop their phone: "I had the biggest fall of my life at 35." A user mentioned hitting their head on a hanging plant on a client's balcony—camera included—to which Yaime humorously replied, "I have a similar story with a streetlamp."

The Cuban term "boniato" also sparked its own debate in the comments. A user claimed never to have heard the expression in Cuba, to which Yaime responded curtly with, "You’re not Cuban," followed by an emoji.

Even a customer joined the thread with a comment encapsulating the video’s spirit: "Don’t worry, I won’t post it, I respect your privacy, but trust me, everyone in the house is laughing."

Yaime is not the first Cuban delivery worker to go viral for their work-related antics. In March 2025, another Cuban delivery woman warned customers about loose dogs, and a delivery man went viral after mistaking a ceramic dog for a real one, caught on a security camera. Cubans working in delivery services in the United States have found TikTok to be the perfect platform to turn the stress of their routes into collective comedy.

Ironically, what Yaime might not have expected was for her greatest fear—to be featured online due to a Ring camera—to come true in the most amusing way: by going viral on her own, without any customer posting a thing.
