Isabella Ladera Embraces Her Postpartum Body: "A Different Reality Needs More Visibility"

Thursday, August 6, 2026 by Charlotte Gomez

The Venezuelan influencer Isabella Ladera has captured the attention of her followers with a candid video on TikTok, showcasing her body just three weeks after giving birth to her son, Koa. Her message of self-love aims to reach mothers who compare themselves to the often idealized images seen on social media.

The video, which lasts a little over three minutes, quickly amassed thousands of views and likes, becoming one of her most viral pieces of content in recent months.

Isabella begins the video with a straightforward message: she wants to highlight "another reality" that she feels is largely absent from digital platforms. "I'm not saying there aren't women who look perfect right after childbirth because I've seen it happen. But there is another side that doesn't get enough visibility," she expressed to the camera.

Without hesitation, the content creator revealed her postpartum abdomen, loose skin, and her post-birth underwear, humorously describing it as "my zero-sexy panties, looks like a diaper."

Rather than expressing dissatisfaction or insecurity, the tone of the video is one of celebration and acceptance. "I'm not giving up, I don't hate myself, I don't feel bad, I'm simply embracing the process, allowing it to pass through me, and taking it one day at a time," Isabella stated.

She also delivered a powerful reminder for those who put too much pressure on themselves postpartum: "We literally just gave life, we just made a tiny human body, and that holds much more merit than the body you're dealing with right now."

For breastfeeding mothers, her message was even more direct: "You're already at a hundred, you were a home, you are a home, and you're providing nourishment. So honor yourself, sister, honor yourself, love yourself, and stop being so hard on yourself."

Koa was born on July 11 in Miami, the result of her relationship with Peruvian influencer Hugo García, in a home, water birth without anesthesia after 26 hours of labor. He is Isabella's second child—her first daughter, Mía Antonella, was born in 2020—and her first with García.

This isn't the first time Isabella has shared her recovery journey openly: two weeks postpartum, she posted a mirror selfie with the caption "This is me, sisters," and before Koa's birth, she disclosed gaining nearly 20 kilos during pregnancy.

With over 12 million followers across Instagram and TikTok, Isabella also mentioned her plans to resume exercising in six to seven weeks, and she intends to continue documenting her journey with the same level of honesty.

The video description encapsulates the essence of her message: "I embrace you, I know it's hard not to sleep, but giving life is rebirth. See it as a second opportunity to do well, or even better."
